You will develop, implement, and optimize state estimation algorithms for onboard drones, collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure robust performance under diverse conditions.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience developing state estimation for robotics or drones
• Strong knowledge of Kalman filters, EKF, or particle filters
• Proficiency in C++ or Python
• Experience with embedded systems or real-time platforms
• Familiarity with IMU, GPS, cameras, lidar, and simulation tools like Gazebo

Responsibilities

• Design and implement state estimation algorithms including sensor fusion for IMU, GPS, cameras
• Develop real-time software for embedded systems
• Test and validate solutions in simulation and real-world environments
• Debug and improve estimation performance under challenging conditions
• Collaborate with autonomy, controls, and perception teams for integration
