You'll lead the CLI/Local Experience team at Supabase, guiding both technical direction and team execution for developer tooling across platforms. Your core impact is delivering a consistent, secure, and performant CLI experience that thousands of developers rely on daily. This hands-on role blends 60% engineering with 40% people leadership.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and coach the CLI/Local Experience team through 1:1s, performance reviews, and growth plans.
• Drive technical strategy via RFCs, design reviews, and iterative delivery.
• Contribute directly to TypeScript implementation focused on architecture and reliability.
• Unblock engineers and improve workflow practices using tools like Linear.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including work on command-line developer tools.
• Strong professional TypeScript experience and a track record of shipping production-grade CLI tooling.
• Prior people management responsibilities in a distributed, async environment.
• Deep understanding of cross-platform concerns: filesystem, subprocesses, terminal UX on macOS/Linux/Windows.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with testing strategy for CLIs (unit, integration, e2e) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with release/versioning strategies and backwards compatibility in widely used tooling.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Postgres-oriented development workflows.
