Description

You will work on the architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of microservices for the Active Journey Alliance, which focuses on maximizing customer retention. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor colleagues, and use modern technologies like Golang, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes to build scalable, data-driven products that power HelloFresh's end-to-end food experience for millions of customers globally.

Requirements

• Strong background in backend development with microservices and distributed systems
• Proven ability to build event-driven architectures with messaging technologies (RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS)
• Proficiency in Go and/or PHP preferred; experience with JVM languages and willingness to learn Golang
• Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
• Solid foundation in testing practices (unit and end-to-end) and relational databases

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and operate microservices using DevOps practices
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Front-end Engineers, Designers, and BI teams
• Act as ambassador for software solutions, offering mentorship to colleagues
• Influence architecture and drive best practices in an autonomous, cross-functional team
• Drive decisions from problem definition to production, improving systems for scalability
