Description

You will bridge the gap between technical execution and creative vision, collaborating with design, art, engineering, animation, and audio teams to craft compelling gameplay systems for the BioShock franchise. You'll architect and implement player-centric features like player verbs, camera, and weapon systems using Unreal Engine 5.

Requirements

  • 3+ years industry or related experience
  • Previous experience as a contributor to a gameplay engineering team
  • Strong 3D Math skills with C/C++ experience
  • Experience with C/C++ and strong familiarity with OO design principles
  • Commitment to code quality, documentation, and sound testing procedures
  • Debugging/Problem-Solving Skills
  • Understanding of current data structures, algorithms and methodologies
  • Experience working with player-centric systems (character, camera, control)
  • Current console experience
  • Strong understanding and familiarity with current Unreal Engine technology is desired

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with design and art teams to realize creative ambitions
  • Architect and implement new Gameplay systems and features for player verbs, camera, weapon, etc.
  • Work within Unreal 5 engine, adapting existing systems and building new technology
  • Keep current on technological developments and advancements in the game industry
  • Identify technical and developmental risks and generate solutions
  • Partner closely with design, engineering, animation, and audio
