Description

You will bridge the gap between Planet's platform capabilities and customer outcomes, identifying high-value market problems and working with Engineering to build scalable solutions. This role focuses on moving from selling raw data to selling measurable value in Defense, Civil Government, and Commercial sectors.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience, ideally in Earth Observation or geospatial analytics
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience launching 'solution' products (bundles of data, analytics, and services)
• Ability to translate complex vertical needs into engineering tasks
• Experience managing end-to-end product lifecycles in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery and feasibility studies to validate high-value use cases
• Partner with Engineering and Data Science to decompose requirements into technical specifications and user stories
• Manage sprint planning and backlog grooming as primary Engineering liaison
• Define and deliver reusable 'building blocks' to scale solutions across customers
• Collaborate with Product Marketing and Sales to package technical capabilities into business narratives
