💼 About This Role

You'll lead econometric and experimental analysis to measure how risk shifts in complex human–AI systems, designing A/B tests and observational studies to identify causal drivers of strategic threats. Your work directly informs safety mitigations and product decisions across OpenAI, ensuring secure deployment of AI tools.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and execute experimental and observational analyses for strategic risk assessment
• Develop econometric approaches to estimate impact of product, policy, and external developments
• Translate strategic risk questions into testable hypotheses and study designs
• Establish baselines and statistical confidence around core risk metrics

📋 Requirements

• 3–6+ years in econometrics, causal inference, or experimental research
• Strong in experimental design, observational methods, and statistical reasoning
• Proficient in Python and SQL
