💼 About This Role

You'll own the physical layer of Anthropic's private global dark-fiber backbone, Anternet. You'll decide where fiber goes and ensure it's built to spec. This is a foundational role building the fiber program from scratch.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Plan terrestrial fiber routes between Anternet PoPs and data centers.
• Source and qualify dark fiber, IRU, and wavelength options.
• Manage vendor build from PO to acceptance.
• Define and enforce fiber acceptance criteria.
• Maintain fiber inventory and forecast needs.

📋 Requirements

• OSP/fiber planning or network delivery experience at carrier or hyperscaler.
• Proven ability to take dark-fiber routes from design through acceptance.
• Solid knowledge of vendor landscape and contract negotiation.
• Proficiency with GIS/KMZ tooling and structured inventory data.

✨ Nice to Have

• 8+ years of OSP/fiber planning or network delivery experience.
• Experience standing up a fiber program from near-zero.
• Scripting or light tooling experience (Python, Go, SQL).
