Description

In this role, you will be embedded in the financial oversight of the UM Strategy team, quantifying and communicating the financial impact of utilization management initiatives. You will build complex financial models to size affordability outcomes, serve as a liaison between UM and Medical Economics/Finance, and track investment performance. Your work ensures strategic investments translate into measurable, defensible savings that influence enterprise decisions.

Requirements

• 4+ years in management consulting, financial strategic analysis, or healthcare corporate strategy
• 3+ years delivering projects/programs
• Strong understanding of ACA (Individual/Small Group) business model and UM impact on Risk Adjustment and MLR
• 3+ years expertise in financial modeling, business case development, and cost-benefit analysis
• Healthcare experience (Health Insurance, Health Systems, or Healthcare Consulting)

Responsibilities

• Build complex financial models to size impact of UM and affordability strategies
• Represent UM department in corporate financial workstreams and ensure initiative prioritization
• Develop methodologies for tracking ROI with Medical Economics and Data Science teams
• Monitor active initiatives and provide monthly True-Up reports comparing projected to actual savings
• Translate complex data into executive-ready narratives to influence decision-making
