Description

As part of the ClickHouse Core Performance team, you will analyze and optimize the performance of the core ClickHouse database, working on topics like query optimization, caching, and low-level SIMD instructions. You will ensure performance doesn't deteriorate, debug customer issues, collaborate with other teams, and engage with the open-source community.

Requirements

• Solid professional C++ development experience with Unix systems
• Strong knowledge in database internals and design
• Experience in performance engineering (database, HFT, simulation, etc.)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Problem-solving and production debugging skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize performance of core ClickHouse database
• Extend and add performance tests based on real-world or synthetic datasets
• Serve as resource for Support Engineering to debug advanced performance issues
• Collaborate with other core teams on new feature performance impact
• Work with open-source community resolving issues and reviewing PRs
