Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years in equipment engineering or automation with 2+ years in project leadership or management
  • Experience with automation in high-volume manufacturing (semiconductor, automotive, or aerospace)
  • Proficiency in automation technologies: robotics, motion control, and CAD software
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends; travel up to 20%

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of multi-disciplinary engineers in design, procurement, and optimization of solar cell manufacturing equipment
  • Collaborate with production, process engineering, and supply chain to improve yield and reduce downtime
  • Oversee full lifecycle of equipment projects including budgeting and vendor management
  • Implement data-driven improvements using PLC, SCADA, and IoT for predictive maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and SpaceX safety protocols
