💼 About This Role

You'll support the Protective Distribution System (PDS) and Network Infrastructure teams at NAS Patuxent River. Your core impact involves inspecting fiber networks, securing communications closets, and ensuring tamper-free PDS conduits. You'll be part of a team supporting NAWCAD 365 days a year with rotating shift coverage.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Install, splice, and terminate copper and fiber optic cabling
• Inspect and secure PDS conduits and communications closets
• Maintain accurate cable and infrastructure database
• Respond to emergency locate requests and prioritize work

📋 Requirements

• Secret clearance (Interim acceptable to start)
• US citizenship for work on DoD contract
• High school diploma and 2+ years related experience
• Experience terminating Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber (SM/MM) connections

✨ Nice to Have

• 1-3 years telecommunications cable installation and repair
• Experience with fiber optic data center network infrastructure
