💼 About This Role

You'll join FieldAI's Irvine team to build developer infrastructure for embodied AI robotics. You'll own containerized dev environments, build systems, and developer tools that ship on real hardware in field deployments. This role blends rigorous engineering with learning systems proven in globally deployed solutions.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain containerized development environments
• Develop and enforce automated code quality and style checks
• Design and maintain internal CLI tools and developer workflows
• Own and improve monorepo build systems, file structure, and documentation

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3–7 years of software engineering experience
• Python or similar programming/scripting skills
• Hands-on experience with Docker or other containerization technologies

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Bazel or Nx build systems
• Experience supporting robotics software stacks (e.g., ROS, real-time systems, sensor integration)
• Hands-on experience designing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
