Description

You will own and build key backend services for a petabyte-scale observability platform, ensuring reliable data pipelines and APIs that developers depend on. Engage with open-source contributors and customers to shape the product, and tackle challenges like ingesting and querying massive telemetry data sets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend focus
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills (Express, Fastify, or similar)
• Solid understanding of API design, distributed systems, and data modeling
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Passion for open source and the developer community

Responsibilities

• Own and build key backend services and infrastructure for the observability platform
• Ensure reliable, high-throughput data pipelines and APIs
• Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers to incorporate feedback into backend architecture and API design
• Design and implement scalable backend systems for ingesting, processing, and querying petabytes of observability data
• Build foundational services to help engineers crack production issues
