💼 About This Role

You'll engage in a hands-on emergency medicine externship at VEG, pairing with credentialed technicians for real-time mentoring. You'll gain exposure to patient triage, diagnostics, and inpatient care while exploring a career in ER. Unpaid externship for AVMA-accredited programs.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Shadow and assist with triage, outpatient visits, diagnostics, anesthesia, and inpatient care
• Practice skills from your school's proficiency checklist with mentorship
• Pair with an emergency credentialed veterinary technician for on-the-floor learning
• Experience teamwork and pace of emergency care at VEG

📋 Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology or nursing program
• Enrolled in a course that requires externship hours or skills
• Current rabies vaccination or titer required
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own and support up to 40 kg with assistance
