Description

As APJ Lead and Senior Corporate Counsel at Okta, you will provide primary legal support for the sales and professional services organizations in the Asia Pacific and Japan region, focusing on large enterprise customers and emerging markets in ASEAN and India. You will draft and negotiate complex SaaS agreements, advise on commercial matters, and mentor junior legal colleagues.

Requirements

• 7+ years of transactional legal experience negotiating enterprise-level technology agreements, including SaaS and cloud services.
• 4+ years of in-house experience with a large technology vendor providing transactional legal support.
• Experience supporting sales teams with large enterprise accounts in APJ, including regulated industries.
• Proven track record of managing multiple complex deals in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills with sound legal and business judgment.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate outbound SaaS master subscription agreements and ancillary commercial documents for large strategic accounts and emerging business in ASEAN and India.
• Serve as point-of-contact and escalation for the SVP and General Manager of the APJ region.
• Provide expert guidance and support to the APJ Commercial Legal Team.
• Partner with revenue recognition, deal desk, sales operations, privacy, and security teams to ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Build critical relationships with sales and legal colleagues to provide practical strategic advice.
