💼 About This Role

You'll lead editorial strategy and commissioning for The Substack Post, helping shape cultural coverage across essays, features, and criticism. You'll work directly with writers to develop their voice and ideas. This is a chance to build a flagship publication from a creator-led platform.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Edit stories from pitch to publication with clarity and rigor
• Identify and commission writers both on and off Substack
• Manage editorial calendars and production workflows
• Coordinate with social, design, video, and partnerships teams

📋 Requirements

• 5-7 years as an editor at a culture-focused publication
• Proven ability to edit long-form and short-form work
• Strong commissioning instincts to spot great ideas
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
