In this high-visibility role, you will spearhead global payroll risk and incident management, leading programs to enhance risk posture and resolve high-impact incidents. You will mentor team members, evolve frameworks, and influence how Remote grows with control and confidence, thriving on complexity and collaboration.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in payroll risk management, incident response, compliance, or operations management in global payroll, finance, SaaS, or regulated industries
• Demonstrated ability to lead incident response and implement data-driven solutions
• Expertise in designing and scaling risk governance frameworks and tools
• Experience mentoring or managing others in a distributed, remote-first environment
• Strong project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives

Responsibilities

• Design and execute global risk management frameworks for payroll operations, product features, and market expansion
• Own and evolve the global payroll risk register ensuring real-time visibility of critical risks and mitigation plans
• Serve as escalation point and lead coordinator for complex payroll incidents globally
• Establish scalable processes for triaging, investigating, resolving, and learning from incidents
• Mentor and develop team members in risk assessment, incident handling, and RCA facilitation
