Description

As a Senior Flight Software Engineer, you will develop application software for real-time operating systems and embedded Linux, create hardware drivers for spacecraft sensors and actuators, and collaborate with test engineers to validate software functionality. Your work will directly impact missions ranging from scientific exploration to national security, with frequent opportunities to test your software on orbit.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent
• Active Secret Clearance
• 5+ years (level I) or 8+ years (level II) of embedded software development experience
• Proficiency in C and C++
• Experience with RTOS or embedded Linux

Responsibilities

• Develop application software for RTOS and/or embedded Linux
• Develop hardware drivers for IMUs, star trackers, reaction wheels, and other spacecraft sensors and actuators
• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit tests within a Continuous Integration framework
• Collaborate with hardware-in-the-loop test engineers for software/hardware verification and validation
• Participate in design reviews such as PDR and CDR
