Description

As a Facilities Mechanical Specialist at SpaceX, you will design, build, and activate infrastructure for projects at the McGregor test site, working with engineers to drive positive changes in a fast-paced environment. You will own tasks from start to finish, ensuring the campus supports the mission of enabling life beyond Earth.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 5+ years experience with HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems
• Ability to understand schematic diagrams and architectural plans
• Knowledge of building management and construction best practices
• Ability to work at heights, lift 25 lbs, and work in extreme environments

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate construction projects and maintenance operations
• Interact with tradesmen, contractors, and building officials
• Direct system repairs of HVAC, electrical, fire protection, water, and plumbing
• Direct construction projects ensuring safe and minimal interruption
• Assist engineering team with budgets, drawings, and design
