💼 About This Role

You'll lead process design for Direct Air Capture systems at Deep Sky, a carbon removal company. You'll drive DAC technology from concept to commercial deployment, optimizing energy consumption. This role offers significant influence over equipment selection and facility efficiency.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead conceptual and detailed process design of DAC systems
• Develop P&IDs with robust control logic and safety standards
• Perform advanced process simulations using Aspen Plus or HYSYS
• Collaborate on scale-up from prototype to commercial facilities
• Assess technical risks related to solvent/sorbent degradation

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Canada
• 10+ years engineering experience in process design or lead role
• Expert-level experience with process simulation tools (Aspen Plus, HYSYS)

• Experience with amine-based systems, solid sorbents, or electrochemical processes
• Background in mass transfer, thermodynamics, and gas separation
• Hands-on troubleshooting and on-site experience
