Description

You'll join Recursion's Automated Chemistry team to independently plan and execute synthetic routes using state-of-the-art automation platforms. Your work will directly accelerate drug discovery projects by delivering high-quality compounds and reaction data. You'll collaborate across disciplines to develop new methodologies and improve platform capabilities.

Requirements

**PhD** in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or BS/MSc with equivalent industrial experience
**Industrial experience** in synthetic organic chemistry for medicinal chemistry
**Experience** with computational tools, new software, or lab automation
**Strong communication** skills for clear information exchange

Responsibilities

Execute synthetic routes using traditional lab techniques and automated platforms
Translate synthetic methods to automation platforms with critical thinking
Diagnose and resolve chemical or procedural issues in automated workflows
Collaborate with teams across automated chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and engineering
