You'll mentor a young person experiencing homelessness, helping them build skills and confidence. You'll support their education, career, and personal growth through a consistent, non-judgmental relationship. This role offers flexibility and a chance to make a real difference in ending homelessness.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Spend time engaging in social and recreational activities with a designated mentee.
  • Share knowledge about your education, career and life experiences.
  • Help promote your mentee’s self-esteem and identify their strengths.
  • Help with goal-setting and support the mentee in making choices.

πŸ“‹ Requirements

  • An understanding of the Advantaged Thinking approach or commitment to learn.
  • Developed relationship skills and ability to communicate non-judgmentally.
  • Self-awareness with ability to ask for help and set boundaries.
  • Commitment to volunteer for 9-12 months.

  • Previous experience working with young people or children.
  • Lived experience of being involved in youth programs.
