πΌ About This Role
You'll mentor a young person experiencing homelessness, helping them build skills and confidence. You'll support their education, career, and personal growth through a consistent, non-judgmental relationship. This role offers flexibility and a chance to make a real difference in ending homelessness.
π― What You'll Do
- Spend time engaging in social and recreational activities with a designated mentee.
- Share knowledge about your education, career and life experiences.
- Help promote your menteeβs self-esteem and identify their strengths.
- Help with goal-setting and support the mentee in making choices.
π Requirements
- An understanding of the Advantaged Thinking approach or commitment to learn.
- Developed relationship skills and ability to communicate non-judgmentally.
- Self-awareness with ability to ask for help and set boundaries.
- Commitment to volunteer for 9-12 months.

- Previous experience working with young people or children.
- Lived experience of being involved in youth programs.
- Links to networks to support mentoring relationships.
