Description

As a Power Electronics Intern at Redwood Materials, you will support the development of next-generation Pack Managers for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) using recycled batteries for AI Data Centers. You'll design and prototype high-voltage, high-power DC-DC resonant converters and prepare them for high-volume production.

Responsibilities

• Design high-voltage, high-power (~1500V, ~50kW) DC-DC resonant converters for recycled battery integration
• Optimize converters for consistent soft-switching and high efficiency across charge/discharge modes
• Develop high-fidelity transformer models and analyze trade-offs between power density, thermal constraints, and cost
