Description

As a Land Development Technical Manager at Benesch, you will self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of land development projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to strategic initiatives driving group growth. You will also mentor staff, ensure high-quality engineering documents, and adhere to quality control procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering
• PE License
• NCDOT experience preferred
• Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment
• Advanced knowledge of software appropriate for land development
• Advanced knowledge of applicable codes and standards that govern land development

Responsibilities

• Mentor and direct the advancement of the technical skills of staff while executing projects
• Manage technical elements of a project, including assessing analyses and correct approach
• Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents
• Communicate technical progress and issues to Project Manager in a timely manner
• Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking
• Contribute to other project work as a technical specialist or advisor
• Provide input into the growth of the practice
• Perform, review, and manage technical analysis and design
• Work toward being a leading subject matter expert of targeted elements within the discipline
