💼 About This Role

You'll fit-up and weld carbon steel and stainless steel assemblies for a top-tier industrial equipment manufacturer. You'll ensure code quality for petrochemical industry clients. This contract role requires advanced welding skills and minimal supervision.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Fit-up and weld carbon steel and stainless steel assemblies per WPS.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and supplies in safe working order.
• Pass post-weld testing and quality inspections.
• Read blueprints and apply weld symbols and joint configurations.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of related welding experience or equivalent combination.
• Skilled in at least 3 welding processes: GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW.
• Pass 3G plate test in MIG/Fluxcore.
• Pass 6G all TIG with 1/2" schedule 160 pipe.

✨ Nice to Have

• Petrochemical industry experience.
• Proficiency in codes: API, B313, UW51, UW52, B1.1, STS.
• Experience with positioners and pinwheels.

🚩 Heads Up

• Requires 8+ years experience but only offers contract position.
• Multiple distinct roles (welder + fitter) combined into one.
• Physical demands include lifting 70 lbs and standing 8+ hours daily.
