Description

You will lead the design of complex fluid and gas distribution systems for sensitive R&D and industrial projects, architecting routing, containment, and delivery for specialized gases and high-purity water systems. This role sits at the intersection of process engineering and architectural coordination, ensuring hazardous and inert gases, vacuum systems, and ultra-pure liquids are integrated safely into building infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Architecture
• 8+ years experience in specialized piping design for R&D, healthcare, or semiconductor facilities
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for parametric pipe types and complex 3D assemblies
• Deep technical knowledge of laboratory-grade plumbing, gas cabinet integration, and high-purity water generation
• Ability to balance precision of micro-level piping details with scale of massive industrial facility design

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive laboratory piping systems including high-purity specialty gases, compressed air, vacuum, and RODI water systems
• Prepare high-fidelity design packages in Revit, owning 3D coordination of sloped waste lines, gas manifolds, and overhead service carriers
• Specify materials from orbitally welded stainless steel to acid-resistant neutralized waste piping
• Develop P&IDs and flow schematics defining system logic, pressure regulation, and emergency shut-off protocols
• Ensure code compliance with NFPA 45, NFPA 99, and ASME B31.3
