You'll collaborate with development and test engineers to build and evaluate innovative optical systems for airborne, maritime, and space platforms. You will own the rapid prototyping process, fabricating high-quality electro-mechanical assemblies from start to finish. ๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Build and test new optical systems for airborne, maritime, and space platforms
- Fabricate high quality, high reliability electro-mechanical assemblies
- Develop integration and test fixtures; set up test equipment and report results
- Own internal prototyping resources and manage R&D space
๐ Requirements
- Minimum 4 years experience as a technician on complex electro-mechanical assemblies
- Ability to work through R&D tasks with limited oversight
- Experience building and troubleshooting cables and wiring harnesses
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
โจ Nice to Have
- Experience with alignment and characterization of optical systems
- Experience with 3D printing for prototyping
- Familiarity with Solidworks, Altium, and scripting languages (Matlab, Python, Labview)
