💼 About This Role

You'll lead and build a team of Controls Development and Test Automation Engineers to develop automation and controls standards for Helion's capacitor bank production, guiding the transition from rapid prototyping to high-volume manufacturing. Your work will directly advance Helion's mission to deliver clean, sustainable fusion energy. This onsite role at our Everett, WA office reports to the Factory Development Manager.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and scale a team of Automation, Controls and Test Engineers for production launch
• Develop and standardize manufacturing automation architectures across production lines
• Collaborate with equipment suppliers on system design, acceptance testing, and buyoff
• Implement compliant safety and control systems, producing electrical and pneumatic schematics
• Optimize production performance via OEE metrics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing controls in a high-volume production environment
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing and developing engineering teams
• Demonstrated success in developing engineers and leaders with focus on career growth
• Extensive experience in machine safety design for automated manufacturing equipment
