💼 About This Role

You'll build and scale backend systems powering an AI-driven research platform for private market investors. You'll architect distributed systems supporting high-throughput LLM interactions and vector search. This role offers the chance to shape engineering culture at a fast-growing, profitable startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect and scale backend systems for high-throughput LLM interactions
• Stitch together AI infrastructure across model providers and APIs
• Own reliability and observability of databases and job orchestration
• Prototype new backend capabilities like retrieval pipelines and caching

📋 Requirements

• Based in NYC, 5 days a week in person
• Proficient in Next.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
• Experience leading projects end-to-end
• Excited by the intersection of AI infrastructure and systems design

• Experience with retrieval/embeddings/prompt orchestration
• Built internal infrastructure or dev tools at startups
