Description

You will build robust backend frameworks and features for Pinterest's monetization and core engineering teams. Working with product managers, designers, and engineers, you'll contribute to each step of product development, from ideation to release, and operate large-scale distributed systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry backend development experience building consumer or business facing products
• Proficiency in common backend tech stacks for RESTful API, online service, storage, caching and data processing
• Experience in writing reliable and maintainable code used by many other engineers
• Experience leading or owning projects, mentoring others, or driving technical thought leadership
• Experience in Python, Java, C++, or Go and a willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Build out the backend for Pinner-facing features to power the future of inspiration
• Contribute to and lead each step of product development, from ideation to implementation to release
• Partner with design, product, and backend teams to build end-to-end functionality
• Design, develop, and operate large scale distributed systems and networks
• Actively work to improve the developer process and experience in all phases from coding to operation
