Description

You will serve as a patient-facing contact center role, responding to inbound calls and conducting outbound follow-ups related to prescriptions, prior authorizations, lab orders, and referrals. You will work within the EHR to review patient charts and coordinate with clinical teams to ensure timely and accurate communication.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in healthcare contact center or medical office
  • Experience with EHR systems (Athenahealth preferred)
  • Strong understanding of outpatient healthcare workflows
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow structured workflows

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for inbound patient calls regarding prescriptions, prior authorizations, labs, and referrals
  • Conduct outbound follow-up calls/texts on open clinical requests
  • Review patient charts in EHR to understand order and prescription status
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in EHR
  • Route clinical tasks to appropriate teams according to escalation protocols
