Description

You will design and operate rocket engine test stands for Terran R engines and stages, working hands-on with a team of engineers and technicians. Your work involves building and modifying test facilities, participating in test campaigns to flight qualify hardware, and engaging in daily test operations, maintenance, and commissioning. This role is critical to proving out full-stage systems and enabling routine flights of Terran R.

Requirements

• Background in aviation, automotive, manufacturing, offshore operations, industrial systems, or construction
• Experience with large-scale, complex systems including integrated engines and stage assemblies
• Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced, operational environment
• Strong collaboration skills across teams of technicians and engineers
• Experience in propulsion testing or related field

Responsibilities

• Design advanced propulsion test stands including 3D modeling, fluids, structural, and thermal analysis
• Supervise construction, commissioning, and initial operations of test facilities
• Solve technical problems across broad ranges of complexity and cost
• Support operations and perform improvements on existing test stands
• Participate in test campaigns to flight qualify hardware
