Description

You will drive machining development for the Neutron launch vehicle, selecting and commissioning equipment, contributing to design for manufacturing, and mentoring engineers. Your work ensures high-quality, cost-effective component production in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in mechanical, industrial, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years machine shop experience in R&D environment
• Experience with 3D CAD software
• Ability to rapidly iterate NX CAM programs and operate 5-axis CNC
• Well versed in GD&T and inspection methods

Responsibilities

• Select, procure, install, and commission machine shop equipment and develop PM plans
• Develop capability for rapid iterations of in-house Neutron components
• Contribute to design reviews as expert in DFM, machining, producibility, inspection, QC
• Source and implement tooling, tool holders, and work holding products
• Design, develop, and implement production tooling and equipment
