Description
As an infrastructure engineer on the Starlink flight software team, you will own the software that enables rapid iteration and deployment of both ground and satellite software. You will identify and fix slowdowns in developer iteration, build system inefficiencies, and unnecessary interface complexity by working closely with other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in CS, engineering, math, or STEM; or 2+ years software development
- Development experience in C/C++, Python, or similar
- Knowledge of Bazel, C++, Python, Bash preferred
- Experience with version control, CI/CD systems
- Willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed
Responsibilities
- Maintain flight code generation tooling for flight software and GNC engineers
- Maintain core flight software features shared across satellite products
- Work with flight software developers to fix slow/error-prone aspects of embedded software development
- Invent tools and processes for fast, accurate development and operations
- Engage ground software teams to simplify constellation operations
