Description

You will lead a functional discovery team in oncology drug discovery, designing and executing predictive screening strategies, and integrating multiparametric biological data to drive data-driven decisions from hit identification through lead generation. You'll partner cross-functionally with Medicinal Chemistry, Structural Biology, and other teams, while mentoring and developing scientists.

Requirements

• PhD in pharmacology, cell-biology, biochemistry, or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of industry experience in early-stage drug discovery
• Demonstrated breadth of experience across multiple stages of discovery with substantial experience in early stages including target identification, hit discovery, and lead generation
• Experience integrating in vitro biochemical, biophysical, and cellular data to develop mechanistic understanding
• Experience managing scientific teams and mentoring scientists

Responsibilities

• Contribute to discovery project teams, partnering with Medicinal Chemistry, Structural Biology, Discovery Biology, Screening, and other functions to drive progression from hit identification through lead generation
• Design and execute predictive screening strategies linking small-molecule perturbation to mechanistic pathway modulation and functional cellular outcomes
• Provide hands-on scientific leadership across functional discovery and cell-based screening, including assay development, cellular target engagement, hit discovery and follow-up
• Lead efforts to generate and interpret multiparametric and multi-modal biological data sets (e.g., imaging, transcriptomics) to drive actionable insights
• Mentor and develop scientists through technical guidance, coaching, and feedback
