💼 About This Role

You'll join the Jade team owning Jamf's DNS infrastructure and distributed key-value store on AWS EKS, handling hundreds of millions of daily requests. You'll help reshape engineering culture around AI-assisted development using Claude Code and drive backend scaling for significant traffic growth. This role offers a chance to impact beyond your team in a hybrid, trust-based environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain DNS gateways with security policies and content filtering
• Scale distributed key-value store using Raft consensus for low-latency reads
• Improve observability with dashboards, alerting, and synthetic monitoring
• Participate in on-call rotation (team of 6, one week each)

📋 Requirements

• Solid experience in at least one strongly typed language like Go, Java, C++, or Rust
• System design thinking for distributed systems, failure modes, and consistency trade-offs
• Real experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot

• Familiarity with DNS, Kubernetes, or AWS
• Backend experience at scale with high-throughput services
