You'll develop machine learning and statistical models to differentiate between normal and attack behavior at Vectra, a leader in AI-driven threat detection. You'll prototype and test detection algorithms that provide real-time visibility for customers. This role directly impacts core product capabilities.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Leverage large datasets to develop ML/statistical models for attack detection
• Own prototyping, development, and testing of detection algorithms
• Analyze detection algorithm performance and present findings to leaders
• Collaborate with Security Research, Data Engineering, and Software Engineering

📋 Requirements

• MS + 2 years or PhD in relevant field
• Hands-on experience with machine-learning and statistical techniques
• Strong experience with Python and object-oriented programming
• Ability to work with datasets using SQL or libraries (pandas, numpy)

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Spark or other distributed computing systems
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Programming experience in C++, Scala/Java, Go
