Description

You will own electrical control and sensing hardware for Raptor rocket engines across the full product lifecycle, from requirements definition through production and reuse. You'll design and troubleshoot PCBA assemblies, drive improvements for reliability and manufacturability, and perform root cause investigations to ensure mission-critical performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
• 5+ years professional experience designing electronics
• High proficiency with schematic capture and board layout (Altium or Circuit Maker preferred)
• Knowledge of digital communications interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, RS422)
• Experience with circuit simulation tools and formal analysis methods

Responsibilities

• Design new PCBA hardware and redesign existing for improved reliability and manufacturability
• Provide extreme ownership of avionics hardware across the full product life cycle
• Drive changes to electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Perform root cause investigations to characterize off-nominal unit behavior and mitigate risk
• Design test setups and execute hardware validation through benchtop and environmental testing
