💼 About This Role

You'll develop state estimation and localization algorithms for autonomous heavy machinery, working with perception, planning, and controls engineers. Your core impact is improving pose accuracy in rugged agricultural environments. This role combines math and software to make robots drive in smart ways.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Implement new features to improve local and global pose estimate stability.
• Design mitigation and fallback strategies for pose estimation systems.
• Research and prototype state-of-the-art state estimation algorithms.
• Validate solutions on real vehicles in real-world scenarios.

📋 Requirements

• State estimation algorithms deployed on real robots (factor graphs, Kalman filters, etc.).
• Sensor fusion tradeoffs for cameras, LiDAR, RADAR, GNSS, IMUs, wheel encoders.
• C++ proficiency and experience with Eigen, Sophus, Ceres, GTSAM.
• 5+ years of software development in autonomy or robotics.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience architecting state estimation systems from scratch.
• Experience implementing custom factors for factor graph optimization.
• MS or PhD in Robotics, CS, or related field.
