As a Senior Software Engineer at SchoolStatus, you will write production-ready code across back-end and front-end systems, guide the team on best practices, and take ownership of project delivery. You'll mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement in a remote-first environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant software development experience
• Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript
• Experience with back-end (NodeJS, NestJS) and front-end (React) technologies
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Responsibilities

• Write production-ready code with documentation for front-end and back-end
• Reinforce best practices and design patterns within the team
• Debug and improve complex problem areas across services
• Take full ownership of project delivery, prioritization, and blockers
• Mentor team members and foster knowledge sharing
