Description

You will provide systems safety engineering support to the H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopter Program Office, ensuring compliance with DoD and MIL-STD-882 standards throughout acquisition and sustainment. You'll perform hazard analyses, manage tracking documentation, and advise leadership on risk management and safety certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in technical or scientific field
• At least 3 years recent and relevant systems safety engineering experience
• Experience with safety process, hazard documentation, safety regulations compliance and reporting
• Understanding of what constitutes a hazard
• Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Integrate safety engineering into H-53 test, operations, and sustainment activities
• Perform and oversee System Hazard Analyses (SHAs) and Operating Support Hazard Analyses (OSHAs)
• Maintain hazard tracking documentation and ensure timely resolution of identified hazards
• Prepare and present Safety Assessment Reports, Hazard Logs, and safety compliance reports
• Advise leadership on risk management, system safety certification, and compliance with safety standards
