Description

As a CNC Programmer at SpaceX, you will work on cutting-edge space technology hardware, programming and optimizing multi-axis machines using Esprit CAM to produce components for Starship and other vehicles. You'll collaborate with engineering to improve designs and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• 2+ years of CNC programming experience
• Proficiency in Esprit CAM software and custom post-processing
• Experience reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T

Responsibilities

• Program and generate G-Code for Okuma mill-turn lathes and mills using Esprit CAM, optimizing complex multi-axis programs
• Create tooling and process setup sheets for new parts, incorporating lessons learned
• Set up, prove out, and operate programs on Okuma mill-turn lathes and mills, troubleshooting independently
• Review quality concerns, lead root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Analyze parts for design for manufacturing (DFM) and collaborate with engineering on drawing changes
