💼 About This Role

You'll own and scale Distyl's core accounting and finance operations as a hands-on leader. Your work will ensure accurate books, disciplined close, and reliable financial outputs that drive decision-making for the company. This is a true build role where you architect accounting infrastructure and controls for a fast-growing applied AI company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own monthly close execution including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform variance analysis and translate results into operational explanations.
• Manage billing, collections, revenue recognition, and payroll accounting.
• Build scalable close workflows and prepare for audit readiness.

📋 Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in accounting or finance operations.
• Firm accounting foundation through public accounting or structured in-house environment.
• Prior experience at a startup or high-growth company.
• Strong command of GAAP accounting and close mechanics.
