💼 About This Role

You'll develop and maintain taxonomies and ontologies for DoorDash's global catalog spanning grocery, alcohol, and retail categories. You'll improve catalog quality, completeness, and discoverability across international markets. This role works cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to scale taxonomy systems across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain metadata schema and attribute systems in global ontology platform
• Design taxonomies for consumer domains like grocery, alcohol, and apparel
• Identify and address catalog quality gaps across international markets
• Partner with cross-functional teams to operationalize taxonomy solutions globally

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in developing taxonomies, ontologies, or structured classification systems
• Experience with taxonomy management tools like Graphite, PoolParty, or Graphologi
• Masters degree in Library and Information Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or related field
• Ability to work with data using SQL, BI tools, or AI-assisted analysis

• Experience with AI tools such as Claude Code or Cursor

• Familiarity with graph-based systems like RDF or SPARQL
