💼 About This Role

You'll lead German accounting operations for a fast-growing tech startup that's building the next-gen entertainment powerhouse. Your accuracy ensures clean books and compliance, directly supporting strategic expansion. You'll act as the primary point of contact for limited office operations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Support day-to-day German accounting operations and bookkeeping
• Partner with external accounting providers and review deliverables
• Prepare and post journal entries (revenue, accruals, payroll, etc.)
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance reporting

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years experience in accounting (startup/scale-up preferred)
• Strong understanding of German GAAP and charts of accounts
• Experience with DATEV systems and accounting software/ERP
• Fluency in German (C1) and solid English skills (B2-C1)

✨ Nice to Have

• Steuerfachangestellter/in qualification or Big 4 experience
• Systems implementations experience
• Familiarity with Netsuite, Everest, or Quickbooks
