Description

You will weld and fabricate structural shapes, tubing, and piping for Starship launch hardware using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW processes. Collaborate with lead welders, read engineering drawings, and continuously improve operations to support SpaceX's mission of enabling human life on Mars.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years welding experience in fabrication with FCAW or GTAW SCH 10 pipe
• Ability to pass Air Force background check
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, and weekends
• Able to lift 30 lbs, work outdoors at heights and in confined spaces

Responsibilities

• Weld using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW on carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate weldments to specifications
• Collaborate with lead welder to select proper weld procedure and materials
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations
• Improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
