Description

You'll build and own Mews' enterprise risk framework from scratch, overseeing risk management for fintech and payments operations. This senior, hands-on role involves regulatory reporting, internal controls, and advising product teams to balance compliance with speed.

Requirements

• 7+ years in risk management within financial services, fintech, or payments
• Strong understanding of regulatory landscape (Dutch/European)
• Hands-on experience designing ERM and internal control frameworks
• Background in fintech, payments, or regulated financial services
• Exceptional communication skills to translate complex requirements into actionable guidance

Responsibilities

• Own and run the ERM framework and risk appetite for Mews FS
• Provide independent risk oversight on new products and strategic initiatives
• Design and maintain internal control framework across payments, safeguarding, liquidity, ICT, outsourcing, and incident management
• Lead risk-based testing, monitoring, and follow-up on incidents and audit findings
• Build risk culture through training and clear communication
