💼 About This Role

You'll design, build, and maintain detection logic, conduct proactive threat hunting, and drive continuous improvements across detection and incident handling workflows at Justworks. You'll collaborate with Engineering and Platform teams to identify attacker behaviors and strengthen defenses. This role also explores AI-assisted detection to enhance efficiency.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build, tune, and deploy detection logic across the platform
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and gap analysis
• Lead incident triage, investigation, and post-incident improvements
• Design and conduct table-top exercises for readiness validation

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in detection engineering, threat hunting, or incident response
• Hands-on experience with EDR platforms for event analysis and detections
• Proficiency with AWS security services (CloudTrail, GuardDuty, IAM, etc.)
• Experience designing and conducting table-top exercises

✨ Nice to Have

• Interest in AI/ML for detection and response
• Experience building automation to reduce manual effort
• Familiarity with detection engineering best practices
