💼 About This Role

You'll join the Digital Innovation team at Vertical Aerospace, building an internal platform that manages HIL test operations for electric aircraft. Your work will directly support flight test, engineering, and certification in a safety-critical environment. You'll tackle high-impact, technically challenging problems at the intersection of software and hardware.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build backend services in Python for test orchestration and API
• Extend interfaces with live signal streaming from hardware targets
• Design reporting layer for test assertions and plots
• Contribute to low-level agent software in C, C++, Rust

📋 Requirements

• Python engineering with async services and REST API
• Experience with real-time or streaming data (WebSocket, time-series DB)
• Working knowledge of C or C++ for systems-level development
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and real-time hardware targets

✨ Nice to Have

• Rust experience
• Awareness of safety-critical software (DO-178C, DO-330)
• Experience with containerisation and CI/CD
