Description

You will develop and implement a comprehensive training program for gas tungsten arc welding, teaching and qualifying students to meet SpaceX's standards. Work with engineering and operations teams to translate skill requirements into practical hands-on lessons, and mentor students in their welding careers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in welding/engineering + 6+ years welding experience OR associate degree + 8+ years OR high school + 10+ years
• 2+ years of teaching or training experience in classroom or industrial setting
• AWS Certified Welding Educator (CWE) credential
• Ability to lift 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, climb stairs
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident (ITAR requirement)

Responsibilities

• Teach TIG/GTAW welding techniques, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance
• Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials
• Provide hands-on demonstrations and supervise students during practical lab work
• Assess and evaluate student performance through practical tests, projects, and written exams
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure laboratory environment is safe and organized
